Seattle Urban Experience

Our school took a most exciting field trip. We caravanned early in the morning on October 19th to the Seattle Art Museum where we had a once-in-a-lifetime experience working with an art docent teacher creating a cubist portrait and then touring the Picasso Museum de National Exhibit. We then split up our students. The Middle School Students helped serve free lunches for the homeless people on Capital Hill and then took the public bus system downtown to do the Underground Seattle Tour. Meanwhile the K-4 students took the Monorail Train to the Seattle Children’s Theater where they saw the play, The Borrowers, and were given a back stage tour. They then played in the Seattle Center fountain. The whole school gathered for a spaghetti dinner, virtual bonfire, movie, and bed. The next morning we ate breakfast and toured the Seattle Aquarium. It was a fun filled inspirational two days. Please enjoy the following pictures taken by students, parents, and teachers. Thank you all who helped make this event possible!
