My family and I moved to the Lake Chelan Valley in 1991 after I received my teaching credentials from Western Washington University. Since then I have taught in both the Manson and the Lake Chelan School Districts. During my time in Manson, I taught in Kindergarten through sixth grade classrooms. I facilitated Manson Elementary’s Learning in Two Languages program during my last three years there. This included overseeing the English Language Learners’ program as well as the learning Spanish as a foreign language program for English speakers. From 2007 to 2010, I taught in the K-6 classroom at the Holden Village School. This is a remote school located in Holden Village, a retreat center in the North Cascade Mountains, and part of the Lake Chelan School District. The school consists of two classrooms, one elementary and one secondary (7-12).
I am presently working at Chelan Valley Independent School, a multi-age P-8 school. I work with a special needs child.
Outside of teaching, I spend time painting and weaving.
