Community meeting to discuss what the “options” educational program might look like if CVIS is integrated within the Manson School District. 5:30PM meeting at the Manson Grange.
We will have a camping theme at this month’s Fun Zone. We will be setting up tents outside, playing flashlight tag, story telling, and making “binoculars”. Depending on weather, we may be watching our first movie OUTSIDE on the side of the building. We are going to be watching “Yogi Bear”, followed by “Open Season”. For dinner we will be roasting our own hot dogs as well as having chili, crackers and fruit cup. For dessert we will be making our own smores!
Day includes entertainment by The Bubble Man, Magic by Fletcher Ellingson and the afternoon is topped off with music from Fat Sunshine. The day is filled with fun for people of all ages: bouncy houses, games, arts and crafts, face-painting, food and much, much more!
CVIS will be holding a community dance for adults (details and location coming soon) and The Kids Fun Zone will be holding a dance here for the kiddies. We will have fun music, karaoke, “Just Dance” video game and will be making Ribbon dancers and drums. We will be watching the movie “Happy Feet”, a movie about a
penguin that loves dancing, followed by “High School Musical” about teens that love singing and dancing – the music is a lot of fun. Dinner will be Cheeseburgers, fries, oranges and juice, followed by yogurt and graham crackers for dessert.
Parents take advantage of this opportunity to plan your night in Chelan without the kids!
In the spirit of getting ready for Earth Day we will have an Earth Day themed Fun Zone. We will be planting flower seeds to take home and creating recycled collages. We will be watching the movie “Tangled” followed by “Pocahontas”, which talks a little about the importance of preserving our earth. Dinner will be chicken nuggets, fries, apple slices and juice, followed by making our own “dirt and worms” (pudding with crushed up oreos and gummy worms).

Next Parent’s Night Out: March 26, 2011
Are you attending the “2 Wannabe Divas and 1 Real One” event at Benson Winery? This benefit concert donates all proceeds to CVIS and costs $25 a ticket. Tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are not necessary to reserve a spot for the Fun Zone, but it is a fun event if you’re looking for an entertaining evening.
To all of the CVIS supporters, here it is…. We are closing the doors this fall if we don’t rally with a new plan. What an impact that will make on the community! If you would like to contribute your passion and ideas come join us at the “Keep the Doors Open” community meeting this Saturday at CVIS from 9am to noon. All are welcome!
