June 21-26 /August 2-6
We Can!
Fitness Fun Camp*

(Ages 3-7 & 8-13)
At the WeCan Chelan! Fitness Fun Camp, campers have so much fun playing they don’t realize how much exercise they’re getting! They’ll discover the powerful secrets of exercise, teamwork, sportsmanship, proper nutrition, cooking and gardening. Healthy snacks will be provided. WeCan! is a science-based, National Institutes of Health (NIH) movement that teaches parents, caregivers, kids and communities ways to eat healthier, increase physical activity and limit screen time to help children maintain a healthy weight.

June 21-26
Junior Camp Leader-In-Training

(Ages 13-17)
This program is designed for teens who wish to learn and develop the necessary skills it takes to become a potential Summer Fun Junior Camp Leader. Participants will attend a five day classroom leadership training experience that will cover developing communication skills, conflict resolution strategies, cooperative learning activities, public speaking skills, camp organization procedures and policies. Graduates of this week- long leadership training will have the opportunity to interview for non-paid Junior Camp Leader positions during the summer.

June 28-July 2
Art Adventures with Wendy & Linda
(Ages 3-7 & 8-13)
Well-known local art teacher, Wendy Schramm together with Linda Crego will be team teaching a morning of creativity. Learn drawing, painting, and printmaking with Wendy. She will cover subjects from still life to mythical heroes and will explore aspects of value, the color wheel, and atmospheric perspective. Linda will then assist the students in the building of a Screamer! These life-like paper mache creatures will be complete with eye balls, hair, and drool. Just the thing for anyone’s home! Fun!

July 5-9
Play & Learn Spanish Camp

(Ages 3-7 )
At the Play & Learn Spanish Camp, children will have the opportunity to participate in fun and educational activities including “theme” days and neighborhood field trips. This camp provides children with the basic Spanish vocabulary through a “hands-on” interactive learning experience. This camp is great for kids of all Spanish language abilities or none at all.

July 5-9
Musical Theater & Dance Camp

(Ages 8-13)
Boys and girls of all ages and abilities are welcome! Explore a fusion of modern and ballet techniques, musical theater, jazz, acting games and more! Costume making, music for FITNESS and FUN!

July 12-16
Hero Adventures Camp
(Ages 3-7)
Make a difference and join Hero Adventures, a special summer camp opportunity for kids to work together to help others in their communities and have a fun time doing it. Kids learn cooperation, confidence and respect through serving others. Campers in the 3-7 year olds group will meet everyday heroes who live and work in our community. Activities include learning the difference between real and super heroes, selecting a true- life personal hero, creating thank-you cards for community heroes, and creating a variety of exciting hero crafts and props. As a group, campers will select, design and complete their own age-appropriate service project. Your child will leave inspired with a spirit of volunteering that hopefully leads to a lifetime of strong values and service.

July 19-23
Creative Dance Camp

(Ages 3-7)
Boys and girls are invited to come and learn about many different styles of music and dance. We will explore movement with games, stories, and rhythm…learn about costumes and enjoy simple costume crafts and have fun with basic dance steps while using tools such as scarves and hula hoops.

Sports and More Camp

(Ages 8-13)
Learn how to be a good sport. This camp focuses on sportsmanship, teamwork and fitness, and teaches healthy competition while participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports. Traditional sports such as kickball, basketball, soccer, track and field, and baseball are also a part of the program. Campers are grouped according to age and skill level. Campers also have a chance to take field trips that include trekking at local parks and bowling. Campers should bring their swim suit and a towel for recreational water play. All activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

July 26-30
Intro to Sports and Games Camp

(Ages 3-7)
Campers experience new and exciting games and will have fun participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports. This camp focuses on sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness and fundamentals. Traditional sports such as kickball, basketball, soccer, track and field, and baseball may also be a part of the program. Campers are grouped according to age and skill level. Campers should bring their swim suit and a towel for recreational water play. All activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
